Our Diagnostic Imaging Department completes digital x-rays. The machines in the department are designed to be very adjustable to ensure that the x-rays being taken will provide the best angles and pictures for an accurate diagnosis.
Mr. Bones welcomes patients and assists staff to answer any skeletal questions that patients may have. The department also has a portable x-ray machine to use for patients who are unable to be transported to the department.
The technologist ensures the correct angles and distances are in place to provide a clear and accurate x-ray picture to support diagnosis of bone or tissue abnormality.
The x-ray technician reviews the digital x-rays to ensure quality resolution and images. The x-ray is then sent electronically to the local physician and an awaiting radiologist in an alternate community. The local physician reviews the x-ray and confirms the finding by reviewing the radiologist report.
